    EPIA M10000 + Lilliput 619 problems

Got my CarPC in. I've done a full search on this subject, and the solutions don't work in my case.

I boot the PC cold (from turning on ignition.) Screen boots on, BIOS loads up......then "Over Range" comes on my lilliput. Black screen, white message.)

-I press the power button on the PC, to put it into hibernate mode. The PC does so, goes into hibernate mode.
-I then press the power again, the PC reloads.......and the screen works fine.

So I found a pain in the *** solution to get it running, i'm peeved but happy it works.

Prior soultions tell the thread authors to go to the bios and change the monitor type to CRT. Did that, rebooted the entire computer from beginning. Same crap. I do my two little steps and I get back into windows. I've searched around for the extended solution and my system is set up for VGA and only one monitor. What could be the problem? Perhaps something as simple as just updating the lilliput drivers?

I just don't understand why the computer and monitor would not be getting along from a fresh boot, but they work fine together resuming hibernation.

sounds like there is something wrong with the drivers of the graphics card/chip.
    Edit:
The reason for that could be a timing problem inside that driver while the pc boots, maybe induced by some other device driver. You could try reinstalling the driver for the graphics card or use another one. Just some wild guesses from me since i never owned neither a lilliput nor a epia board.

Plug in a CRT monitor, and change the resolution/refresh rate from within windows. After the XP logo with the moving bars which is really low lresolution, it changes to whatever you set. These LCD's are tempermental. A CRT will take anything you throw at it and display it. An old monitor (like Pre 1995) will take any resolution even the not standard ones. It might look funky, and discoloured, but you can navigate somewhat to the display properties and change it.

I have a thread where the same thing happened to me a while ago. Seems like my monitor refused to display anything at 800x600. Still today the monitor will not display 800x600, so I jsut use 640x480 and until recently 1024x768. Both are readable and have their advantages.

As shazbot recommended, I'll update the drivers for the lilliput and the epia.

Toaster, problem with that is.....it won't go below 800x600. I like high resolutions, but I don't know if it would even be legible on my lilliput. It's worth a shot to get it going, only problem is I wouldn't be able to read anything or click anything on the touchscreen.

Updated drivers, still nada. I don't know what's going on but I can't get it below 800x600. I think I'll have to tinker with it some more tommorow. Kinda sad.

I'm also going to have to check my power supply because it's going hardoff everytime I turn my car off. I thought I had the thing set for 5sec/2hour, perhaps that is why the PC is running better in hibernation when I actually get it to.
