    Looking for ball joint

After going to Lowes, Radio Shack and WalMart, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for where I could find (or how to make?) a ball joint - or at least a joint to do what I need:

My screen will slide out of its case and spring to vertical - but I need to then be able to rotate it 180 degrees about vertical (like portrait monitor) and (ideally) angle it towards the driver or passenger. Anyone have any thoughts? It also needs to be relatively thin, as I am fitting the whole contraption in a single DIN box and the screen case takes up a sizable portion of that.

    Thanks

    This looks like a possibility:

    Two ideas,

    1) THose weird decices for holding electronings parts while you solder them.

    2) The top of a tri pod, some of them have a single ball joint, might be worth trying a camera store.
And you say people actually pay money for M$ Windows?

Total re-design underway: on the whole progress is very slow as the car is taking up too much time :)

Went to a hobby store - those devices are definitely not strong enough for this application.

All the camera based joints I have seen are too large.

    Any other ideas?
