Intel 810 Book PC Display Setting Problem

I have an Intel 810 Chipset Book PC running Windows XP and I dont have the option to set the display to anything less than 800 x 600 at 16 or 32 bit. Does anyone know how to change this to enable 640 x 480 mode?

    Thanks in Advance.

You can start computer in Safe mode and change resolution there. Remember, XP sucks at 640x480.

Actually, just thought of this, you can try to switch to Win98 interface, it should look a little better than.

Ok I will give it a shot. I figured I would have to have it at 640 x 480 to read the font on a 6.8" lcd. I dont have my lcd yet so I was trying to prepare things. Thanks for the help.

I am powering it with an inverter. I have had a few problems trying to run the computer with the car off and the inverter on. It doesnt want to start up at all. I start the car and the computer starts up just fine. I am actually thinking about buying the power supply discussed in this thread and getting rid of the inverter.Opus Power Supply

I don't think the book pc is atx complient, and the opus powersupply is.... and atx power supply, it may work with some modifications.

I want to continue using xp but if I keep having problems I'm going to 98, I have build two computers and one has 98, and I have never had a prob...I don't know why xp is being such a ******...

Thats right, I forgot about the funky bookpc power connector. I wonder if it could be modified.

I havent had any stability issue with running xp prof. on the mine. Have you updated all the drivers and xp updates? Was it a clean install?

also, if you go to advanced on the video card properties, you can pick list all modes, and pick 640x480 32bit @ 60hz.

    MP3DUB,

That's where I ended up finding it was under the advanced video card properties. I knew it had to be in there somewhere, I should of just asked here sooner instead of pulling my hair out trying to find it. Thanks to everyone for the help.
