Screen input stops working after engine crank

Sometimes if I load the computer with the engine off, and then start my car, the touchscreen input doesn't work anymore. The computer works, and the music keeps playing, but it seems that maybe the usb input isn't working. Restarting the computer fixes it, but that's annoying.

    Anybody have experience with this?

it is probably a lw voltage in the power that powers the USB hub..it loses voltage and that makes it act weird

I havent seen that problem, do you have it in a hub, have you tried taking it out of a hub?

It's in a non powered hub. It started doing this somewhat recently, but I've done some wiring changes lately. Maybe a usb plug is loose, but still I would think that would affect other things. Another thing that happens rarely (twice now in the past 2 weeks or so) is that sometimes upon reawakening from hibernation the screen's calibration gets reversed. A reboot fixes this too, but it has to be a hard reboot since I can't figure out where to touch.

ok if it is a non powered hub then maybe there is a voltage drop at your battery at crank, and the m2-atx can not handle it so i guess it is either your battery is getting older or even maybe it is interferance in the usb cable..

Yeah I have killed my battery a few times lately running the CarPC without the engine on (seems to take less and less time). I suppose it might be time for a better battery. Thanks for the input.
