Question CarPC schematic Project, tell me if I am right!

Hi, I am new to the CarPc world, I must say that this forum helped me a lot to think my incar computer, thank you so much for this. Now it's time to dirty hands building my own CarPc, so I have many question...
I post my schematic so you know what I'm talking about. (sorry for my english, I'm Italian)
Question 1) what's wrong in my project? (see schematic)
Question 2) Can I usb self power a 2,5" optical drive such a pioneer DVR-K06 (DVD/CD writer)? I want it in my dashboard, so I have to link it by usb cable.
Question 3) Do I have to upgrade my battery? (maybe with optima yellow 55 Ah) or it will work fine untill I use the system only when engine is on?
Question 4) what do you think about this case? http://store.mo-co-so.com/index.php?...products_id=17
    is it comparable with voomPC?
Thanks a lot!!! Sorry if I have written too many question.
    Marco.

    Not too much.
You show a "Cigar Lighter DC/DC PSU" for your screen. Most screens don't need a seperate power supply. A Liliput would require regulation, but it comes with an egg-shaped regulator. Xenarc screens can wire directly to the car's unregulated wiring, and on an ACC line it would turn on/off with the key.
You're going to want a powered USB hub. Most USB hubs requre 5v power. There are point-of-load power supplies in the store that would be perfect for a USB hub and your optical drive (See #2 below).
Question 2) Can I usb self power a 2,5" optical drive such a pioneer DVR-K06 (DVD/CD writer)? I want it in my dashboard, so I have to link it by usb cable.
The drive will probably require 5v power. You can get that from the powered USB hum or another 5v power source.
Question 3) Do I have to upgrade my battery? (maybe with optima yellow 55 Ah) or it will work fine untill I use the system only when engine is on?
If your battery is strong, you shouldn't need to. A better battery is never a bad thing, though.
Question 4) what do you think about this case? http://store.mo-co-so.com/index.php?...products_id=17

To my untrained eye, that appears to be a voomPC case with their branding on it.
Thanks a lot!!! Sorry if I have written too many question.

Nope. Althouigh most of your questions arre available in our FAQ section.
Here's a good "starter" FAQ: New to CarPCs? Don't know where to start?

It's in English, as are most of the FAQs. I know you're Italian, so I don't know how well you can read English.

    And welcome to your madness.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

I imagine that I have to cut the hub ali jack and link it with the output of Carnetix. Is it so?

its not a rebranded VoomPC case. I have one of these Mobile computing solutions cases. Good quality stuff.
