    Is this normal? (battery)

Ever since I had my alternator and battery replaced (from an optima yellow top to a crappy energizer battery), I find that the battery drains a lot more quickly.

Today, I had my trunk light on for maybe 3-4 hours, and I couldn't start the car. 11.8V at the battery terminals. I needed a boost. Is this normal?

Just as a comparison, when I had the Yellow Top, I could play my system for hours and still start the car up afterwards. Now, I can't even play it for 10 mins without the voltage dropping below 12V. This is a new battery (less than a few months old)

The Optima was a deep cycle battery with mega reserve. The energizer is not.. I have a Yellowtop in my celica also. Last night I left the door cracked (light on) after working on it and this morning it started like it never happened. Why did you change out the Optima?
