my first computer (286 @8MHz) was an emerson, as well as many TV's, VCR's, etc that I have owned in my life. I have always been satisfied, but I cant remember the sound quality from the walkman I had. I think it was okay, as far as walkmans go

Lets see. My first VCR was bought in 1984 or 85 and it bit the dust in 1999. shame that new products aren't made the same.

    Cool

I have a 15 year old Emerson VCR still running great. Needs a cleaning, but other than that fine. Never had any trouble with it.
