    brainstorming time!

OK, im trying to hijack my towers CD drive to install windows. I got the Harddrive that i will be using powered and connected to my cars MB through SATA. But i cannot get power to my MB because the connector for my tower uses a 24 pin and my MB uses either a 4 pin (12v) or a 20 pin. In what other way can i power my cars MB? heres a link to a tech overview of my tower with a good view of its PSU and its plugs http://support.dell.com/support/edoc....htm#wp1052309

    thanks guys!

Presumiably you have some psu for your carpc - if it's a dc-dc one just hook it up to the 12v on your pc

    I think you're misunderstanding me.

Do you have a DC-DC PSU for your carpc?

Whoops! I forgot about this thread :-)

Where's the worry about $100 tho?

When your M2 comes, you can just hook up the M2 to your Tower PC like your Tower PC is a car battery

OR just get a 24pin->20pin adapter off ebay...???
