    intel or amd

    what would be better Intel Pentium M 740 or AMD XP 2200?

    I'd go even lower power than that. You don't need much computing horsepower for those functions.

    If you're locked into one of those two CPUs, I'd go with the Pentium M, solely for the lower power draw.

    What you metion is overkill, but Pentium M is not a bad choice if you need it.
