    decTOP as carPC?

I just saw these decTOP units on another website. It said they went for around $85. Pretty cheap and portable since it is self contained (except power and monitor).
It only comes with 128 MB RAM and 10 GB storage, but for the price, it may be worth looking into. It runs Windows CE, but I found an article about them offering Linux as well. Proc is AMD Geode GX.

Well, already seen. It sux. Nothing can be change. If 10 gig is not enough, that's just too bad,you can't reinstall their os on a larger hdd.
Now Galileo is real. Muhahahahaha :p

These look to be rebranded AMD Presidian/PIC computers to me.

they aren't "rebranded"... they are the same PIC units that AMD used to make. AMD sold that division to DEC, now they make them.

goto the link in rimbaudjet's post, it will tell you all about it.

these dectop units look pretty good for that low price (if you don't need a full power system, most carPC users dont). I just wonder about the OS. it says "windowsCE", does that mean it will run windows mobile programs? if so then that would be a good cheap carPC solution for music, video, and GPS

Nope...Windows CE and Windows mobile applications aren't the same.
