I have tested the board, mp3, mp4, rmvb wise no problem for single program.. if multiple.. it's will hang and loaded with 100% CPU utilisation... and u know wat, the bios say it support for 800x480, i m going to try that in this weekend with my lilliput 619GL, hopefully can...

Hi all, first poster from a noob who's been lurking around looking at stuff on this site for a year or so now. Don't actually have any Car PC parts yet although I build regular PCs pretty often.

This board looks really interesting to me, except for a couple questions... Since it doesn't have S3, what's the best way to set this up so it doesn't drain your car battery? Just have it power up and down the same way a radio would, so it's only running when the car is running, and when the key is in position to run the electical stuff? (sorry for the non-technical description).

How long does this thing take to boot up?

I think this could be a nice lowbudget solution, if power-up time is acceptable, or if there's another way to work around the lack of S3 state.

Hi! I am interested in this mother board. I already have the M2-ATX and other parts, and currently using a regular PIII from an old computer. I think that is a good option to reduce the size of my case (which I am about to fabricate), that will reside on the trunk.

Couple questions:
1) Does it support hybernation?
2) Does it support 800x480 resolution?
3) Do you think it will be enough to run RoadRunner, Destinator and Videos? (basic)

If it does it all, I will post my order asap, and also some friends from my region.

you need a startup/shutdown controller (such as the carnetix) which is wired with the power button of your motherboard / case.

i placed an additional button left to the steering weel on a permanent 12+ v wire. when pressing it, it pulses the carnetix to start / shutdown which then forward this signal to the pc, amplifier etc. pc power mode is set to hibernate on power down - 5 seconds to resume from hibernation, no battery draining at all (standby a couple of days would drain your battery as well!!!)

this seems the best approach to me as you can manually control when to start / stop your electronics. don't want to turn off (hibernate) pc every time at the gas station, washing car, going to atm etc.

BTW the carnetix monitors the battery voltage. if it is becoming critical (let's say you forget to push the button to stop your pc) it is going into a forced state, sending the pulse to shutdown devices and physically disconnecting from the battery to consumers.
