    Just got mine yesterday.

I played with it in my house hooked up to a standard ATX PSU. Works great. Even with the ultra-weak SiS graphics this thing completely destroys my Via Epia 800, in terms of load time, video capabilities, etc.

I got mine for $52 from buy.com by using a new GoogleCheckout account. Also managed to pick up 1GB of DDR2 RAM for $20 after sending in a $20 rebate (again from buy.com) The grand total still came to what I paid last year for a used epia800 with no memory.

Someone was asking about the 12V P4 connector on the M2. The M2 does support that plug, it just doesn't come with one. I happened to have two old PSUs laying around and just chopped off the 4-pin plugs on each of them, then spliced them together to make myself a plug which I could use with the M2. Should be good to go.

Does anyone have any measurements showing what this board draws on each rail from the PSU? The datasheets say it could reach a peak draw of 175watts, so I'm a little concerned given the fact that I'm powering my 7" LCD and 4port USB hub from the same M2. Thoughts or suggestions?

I've ordered mine yesterday. Will be able to test in a few days (international).

I want to see how it performs with regular Video Clips and Winamp Visualization (AVS).

    If someone can test...

    Thanks!

I tested all the various video clips I have (Heros (recorded from HD signal), Simspons, Family Guy episodes, etc.) They all ran great using either media player classic or windows media player (I'm using the FFDshow codec). I had no problems what-so-ever in window or full screen, stand alone, or embedded in RoadRunner. Video worked like a charm.

I tested visualizations with milkdrop. It ran perfect when I just ran it from winamp directly. Both windowed and full screen. However, when the vis was embedded in RR it got pretty choppy. I'm not really sure why. On my old board vis ran crappy in both cases, so I'm not really sure what was going on with RR.

Just tested AVS instead of milkdrop. HUGE improvement. Runs flawless! I don't know why I've been insisting on milkdrop all this time.

Conclusion: Video & Visualizations work great!

I see people referring to hibernating thie PC... by that do they mean save state to disk and power off or do they mean keep state in RAM and RAM powered, and power all else off...?

I'm stuck between this board and the MB896 (I have a spare Pentium M chip). Which has more power is obvious, but there is also a moer than 2x difference in price.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

I know. I just wanted to be absolutely clear. It was said that this board does not support S3, so I just wanted to verify this.

    Updates?

I just got mine earlier this week, but I haven't run anything on it yet as I still need to select a power supply. What kinds of PS and hardware are you guys using with this board. Anyone running NAV and if so what/how.
