    ps2 voltage drop

    is there any reason why when i solder into a ps2 cable for the power for my gps the voltage drops down to about 1 volt. if i use the plug it came with, it is fine. is there such a thing as a ps2 y cable? am i going nuts or what!!!!

    install coming along nicely.

    Yeah, there are ps2 Y cables. People with laptops need them to use a ps2 keyboard and ps2 mouse at the same time. You might even be able to get them at a retail electronics store.



    Also, you could just tap the power supply's 5V line, if that's what it needs. Make your own plug with parts from radio shack.

    ok. i'll probably try tapping into the supply line for it. yesterday when i was wiring a delay circuit, i used the 12v lines from the ps. and when i booted the computer the voltage dropped there. now i just use it to trigger a relay
