Can I ask a stupid question?

Is -5v the same as GND? What about when a schematic says 0v? I would like to use a floppy drive power connector to power an LCD and it's pinout is as follows:

    +12v|GND|GND|+5v

-5V is not the same as Gnd(Ground)

Gnd is the same as 0V

Get the power for the LCD from the +5V(Red wire) and either Gnd connection (black wires)

Where would I get -5v if I needed it?

The only place to get -5V is from the motherboard connector. On the motherboard connector there is both -5V and -12V. Check the side of the power supply to see what colour wire is the -5V and use a multimeter to verify it.

I don't think I'll really need it. It's just that alot of the schematics I've seen seem to use ground, -5v and 0v interchangeably.
