    stupid wiring ideas

Am i the only one thinking of putting a computer in the trunk, running the soundboard output to the head deck (aux input gives volume/EQ control), and then running the deck output back to the trunk (amps) and *then* forward again to the front speakers?

Has anyone actually done this and still had clean sound?

I know i could use the winamp volume control and forget using the aux input on head deck and then just wire the soundcard output to the amps (anyway of using IRman to control winamp EQ?). And / or i could leave the front speakers underpowered. OR i could stuff an amp in my glove box (probebly a bad idea).

    Anyone have any advice?

Well mate i tell you what i did...

i had the mp3 box under drivers sit, runing the RCAs to my deck input, then from my deck RCA out to EQ for the mids and twiters, and the bass is crossovered at 50hz to the amp an then to the two 12".
Altogther 12 speakers set up. Works fine no noice no iterferance
I usualy set the volume on the mp3 box to set point but still have an access to it on the special keypad if i need to.

Thats all .. so what u recon ?

You should be fine 'running cables all over the place'. Just run your power cables and speaker cables down one side of the car and your RCAs down the other. Use some decent quality RCA cables and you should be fine. Good luck!

    Thanx.

Im also in the process of dismantleing an IR remote to have the buttons in the dash and the emitter sending the signal straight back to the trunk where the IR man will be.

-mostly useless, but it'l save me a cable and I don't have a perfect place to possition the IRman in the front.

I would be more inclined to run your power cables down one side, your RCA's down the other and the speaker wires down the centre of the car.
