The limit is 16 feet. Buying a hub might help, although i'm not entirely sure whather they boost the signal itself or just the power to the device.
Best regards,
Matthew
what is the limit to the length of a usb extension? I bought two 10' extensions, using one worked fine, but after two the mouse a/o keyboard stopped working.. anything i can do to fix this (powered hub?) or is there a limit on length?

actually you can get usb booster cables pretty cheap. I own 3 of these, they work great.

Without boosting, i believe that the "limit" is 5 feet for highspeed devices, and 12 or so for lowspeed devices. But as we have all seen with IDE, thats the maximum of the specification, you can go longer, and it can work beautifly (or sometimes not at all).
