What case is that?
So, i decided to re-do my carputer setup...
I want something that i can take out of the car quickly. Weatherized to prevent stray rain drops / snow flakes but with good control over temp.
im planning on adding a thermostat switch of some sort to activate or shut off fans if temp falls over/below a certain threshold.
More info coming later.
for now im wanting opinions of the subject. ^_^
At open air, the the temps are currently at
CPU 95F.
mobo 85F.
Asus P5L-MX
CPU: intel e4300 duo core 1.8ghz.
2gb ram.
...dont ask why.

some cheap case i found at the local walmart in the gun / pistol / riffle section.
Camo ridge Model WM01149

how do you plan to secure it so it doesn't slide in your car?
velcro. on the underside of the case / Stands. (rough part of velcro sticks ANYWHERE in the trunk of my car) its as if the whole thing came from factory with velcro. ^_^

i decided on setting the second fan over near where the chipset heatsink would be.

So is the the chipset is an intake, and the cpu one is exhaust?
pun intended, lol
For the record...I didn't run any fans on my mini-itx board...but yours I am sure is quite a bit hotter. I think you have the right idea...just watch the temps while you are testing it out....
My home computer runs at 50C for comparison.
...I got that same case at Walmart...it is labeled as a pistol case...
There is a foam piece that fits in between the one in the lid, and the one at the bottom...it is cut in small cubes, so you can make custom cutouts for all your gear. I have 2 small camcorders and all their accessories in it, each piece in its own little compartment...as opposed to before when they were all thrown in the bottom of the backpack.
