    Backup warning censor?

    I'm not sure if anyone has done any research on the topic here, but I have been thinking about constructigna backup warning censor that beeps as you neer things in reverse. RRealizing that i dont actually have the baility to build such a device, i went searching, founf this. WHat do you think. not too bad for $100USD. Know of any better oprions?

    I'd like to know how good these things really are. It seems if you come in at an angle, your bumper could be ahead of the sensor. Thus, you would get a false reading. When paralleling, I dont always have more than 6 inches of room to spare. Seems like it will beep the whole time. Then it turns into my worthless radar detector. Just a though though. I could be completely wrong.

    Looks like a great idea for going straight forward and backwards. Wonder how big the object has to be inoder for it to recognize it.

    all good questions, my dad has a foctory sensor on his excursion. it seems to do a really good job of detecting objects. it wont catch it if its much smaller than say a baseball. but i have never seen the buper get in the way.
