I have created a Shutdown controller using PIC micro controller, Character LCD and PICBasic Pro. I have completed the on bench testing and its now time to install it in car. My question, is there any place in car to get 5VDC directly or I have to use voltage regulator (LM805) for this purpose?

A plain old 7805 is fine enough as long as the draw is less than an amp. Make sure you have a heatsink on it. It's not very efficient, but it shouldn't matter much in a car.
