    l00k, itxcase and dc-dc psu

I checked the price on the tiny Via Epia-800 motherboard and found this site who sold them, and then, they had some cases too:

    http://www.ultim8pc.co.uk/index.asp?...products&idd=2

    and a review:
    http://www.mini-itx.com/reviews/2677R/default.asp

Underneath is the 160mm x 45mm DC-DC converter which is the secret of the small size of this case. Instead of a standard PSU, the 2677 takes a 12V DC input from a seperate external AC adapter. The DC-DC converter provides 54.95W of power. The Mini-ITX specification only requires 47W (max) or 60W (peak) and in practice this is more than adequate to run a Hard Drive, Motherboard and DVD/CDR all at once.
    neat, huh? =)

sorry to break it to you, but this is old news

note that the power supply requires regulated 12v 4.5a if you are thinking about getting it and using it with out an inverter in your car.

darn, i searched for the case name and came up with nothing, so i thought it was good to go

yeah i will have to make some regulator circuit...but that's just about perfect, It's about the easiest car-house-car powering idea, just one power plug at home, and one in the car!

anyone in Britain willing to do some shopping for me? =)))) just leave a post here, I'm not going to get it just yet.. I've bought a -82 vw polo that i'm working on..rebuilding it into a cab

I gave up on the regulator, and I plan on using an opus supply.

I'm going to put an atx extension to the back of my case when i bring it in the house I can just connect a standard atx supply to the back.
