Looks like shuttle has something going on.

This will be a great motherboard for integrated systems when it eventually comes out. The nForce2 is a really well performing chipset, and it has great features.

The problem is when is it going to be released. nVidia anounced it a few months ago, and only now are some sample prototype motherboards are coming out. It could be a while yet until real nForce2 boards are on store shelves.

I read an article yesterday stating that nVidia's own refference board doesn't use final silicone.

There was an ASUS board I believe that used final silicone, but was not driver ready yet...

I'm sure shuttle has motherboard is the works and is just waiting to drop in the chips...

    Hopefully.

Ive seen a review of an athlonXP 2800+ on a nForce2 board, i think it was an MSI. They system was incredibly fast, it beat a P4 2.8GHz in all bench marks but one. Although you cant buy either the XP2800+ or an nForce2 board yet.

The review mentioned that the board was a pre-release sample, and that theres no dates out yet, and all motherboard makers have been having problems getting the nForce2 to work right. The review was at www.hardocp.com although i cant seem to get to the site right now, but it should be back up soon. (i hope)

You can't take anything in print atm about nforce2 as gospel. Nobody has anything other than early engineering samples. That said, everything is looking very promising.
Sadly, I missed the nForce2 launch and had to send another of our writers in my place. (And we're not posting any new content for a week or so , so no pics for you to look @ from us)
That said, I've been talking to nVidia for a while about an evaluation sample for the Shuttle board, and it should be in my hands in the not too distant future. I'm also looking into what exactly Shuttle mean by 'Flat panel support'

Cute page... I love your review of the Chicken Sandwich. What did you manage to get it up to when water-cooled? :-P
