Ok, if you have an LV677 and HQCT-i you may be aware that the CDIN on your mainboard does not function, if you have a later model then this issue may have been rectified.
I am assuming that the latest version of the BIOS (1.5) from the Commell site fixes this problem, my current version is 1.2.
Hence I am trying to flash the BIOS with the update, only problem is I dont know what the F I am doing as I have never flashed a BIOS before. There are plenty of guides that focus on using your floppy drive, but cummon people its the 00's and who the hell has floppy drives anymore! I've got 4 computers in the house and not one floppy drive.
I have been looking around and there is a plethera of guides on how to use your usb drive / setting up bootable sectors, blah blah, jargon jargon, can do this, cant to that, warning warning not doing it right will F up your motherboard forever and ever and ever etc etc.
Just wondering if anyone has a good, plain English guide, or a link to one on how to accomplish flashing your BIOS with no floppy drive on XP Pro SP2.
And no, it's not really practical to lug my bundle of computer bits (in testing phase) and jumble of wires 120k's into the city to a "Computer Technicial" to have them do it for me ;)
Thanks Folks! :)
