    neon light case mod

    I just picked up these 6' neon light tube thing from Fry's yesterday for $15.00 and here are the results =)

    Those are not neon lights, they look like EL lights. One of these days I plan on doing my whole car interior with them. It looks really cool in a computer case too! Nice work!

    Oh woah those are really cool. Are they flexible and can they be spliced? I wanted to put some around my speaker grills and synch them with the music.

    word of caution with those EL lights, they wear out quickly. A friend had them in his camero and we were replacing them all the time, like after 2 weeks of not hard use.

    plus they also break easily when you bend them sometimes, so you'll have spotty glow from the cable.

    oh yeah they are EL lights They are very flexible. I didn't have any problems bending them around the curves...just a hassle to glue them down to the case. Other than that im pretty happy with the results
