    VIA EDEN Boards and 10.4" Displays

    I have seen on this board that the eden VIA boards do not

    produce a strong enough video signal to run larger LCDs. Is this

    true?, Does any have a setup using a 10.4 " and a VIA? If It IS

    true will the problem be fixed when the New VIA boards come

    out? Any help would be appreciated.

    WTF?

    My VIA EPIA 800 runs my Sony 19" 400PS monitor, and that has a really fine dot pitch on a really big screen, so that would need even more power wouldn't it?

    I can't imagine how the power of the video signal would relate to the size of the display... I mean, there's either a decent signal for display or there isn't.

    I have no idea where you got that from. This doesn't even make sense. The size of the display has nothing to do with the signal it recieves. The signal gets processed and the information is used to produce the image on the screen. If it can be used for a 6" display it can be used for a video screen in Times Square, or Tokyo..

    If you would, please point out the post where you found this misinformation so that confusion can be cleared up.

    I dont think it was signal strength, i think it was resistance. and it was a post by someone that couldnt get their denisk screen to work with their epia, but could on a fv25, so ended up going with the shuttle.
