    Touchscreen on Nav

Hey, Chris how did the touch panel workout in the end? I did the same to the x3/z4 nav screen. My touch panel was too big though. Where did you source yours?

    Hi Viperian,

Touchpanel works 100% fine via USB, no probs except finger prints are quite visible, just need to clean it each week.

I got the touchscreen direct from the manufacturer http://www.magictouch.com.tw
I had to arrange my own shipping and importation.
Fit is fine, see the pdf I linked to earlier in this thread.

I have seen a writeup of a Z4 with this also.

    Hope this helps.

If you have navi thats the only stock position. its silver box with a big square connector. I believe its 17 pins. If you dont have navi then its up front in the dash.

You have to look carefully, the first thing you notice is the amplifier, with a big aluminum radiator and the radio is hidden beneath it. You can barely see it but it's there.

I found it behind "false wall".

Now the problem is i cannot slide connector on DSP so i cannout access radio module to see what connectors are on it.

Also there is some lubricant everywhere.

Best shot of connector on radio i managed to get - can you tell if it si 10 or 12 pin version?

I am sorry but I can not tell. In fact, what are you finally trying to do? Perhaps I could help you with some WDS schematics if I would know more about your project.

Connect PC/laptop to my E38 - ibus, vido and audio (biggest problem is with audio currently).

I found out that if i want to use tape wires i will need to have cassete in tape drive so it will make noise probably \:

Now i have another two problems - i don't have +12V in my ibus connector on cdchanger, only ibus and gnd. Where can i taky it on leftside (i don't want to connect directly to battery).

Also where do i take "remote" for my carPC power source? I have oldstyle radio - do i have to use pin 16 on connector with round pins? I suppose i can use this pin for both - remote and +12V for ibus to com adapter.
