Thread: Using Pioneer's IP-Bus System Control To Control Carputer, Possible?

I have a Pioneer AVH-P5700 Touchscreen head unit and would like to know if I can use the IP-Bus System Control on the abck which can be wired into things such as Ipods and XM to control a carputer I am building. I find it a shame to purchase a new touchscreen or whatever when I may be able to make some of the controls on this one work. While it may be primitive, if it is possible I would like to give it a try. I am still in the process of designing and building my carputer, I figure if this doesn't work I will either use some sort of remote, voice activation or mount a touchpad in the ashtray. I just don't want this install to be a total eyesore in my car, would prefer to use pre-existing deck controld. Any schematics or help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
