Hi,
I want to buy the following GRAPHIC-LCD-DISPLAY:
GRAPHIC LCD Hitachi LM238XB LCD with 240x128 Dots. Built-in controler HD61830.
but I don't know if it is possible to connect to the PC/MP3Player and which Software I could use...has anyone experiences with those displays..PLEASE HELP ME!

this is very simple, all you need is the pinout of the controler and lcd to vga converter.

I don't believe I've ever heard of a VGA->LCD converter that will work for this situation. This is not your standard monitor type LCD, its a dot matrix type, like you have on a TI-83 or what not. The only way to control that kind of screen is with a serial or parallel port and custom software and hardware. It's a pretty big project just to have a display, probably would be worth it just to buy a crystal fontz or a matrix orbital display that have all the serial communications hardware built in and there are lots of winamp plugins available to control them. I connected a 128x64 dot matrix LCD to my parallel port. And yes, it was custom hardware and software all the way. The schematic for the interface logic for this is on my website - perhaps it might provide some inspiration.
