    HQCT eA connection

I have recently bought the eA version of the HQCT, after using the internal version for quite a while in several installations. However I am puzzled when it comes to connecting the unit. Documentation for "i" was not perfect, but usable. All "documentation" I got with eA was a sheet of paper with pinout information and I cannot find more on either mp3 or datalex/xtronic site. And the one paper I got is not very usable. Does someone know the answers to the following questions:

    - Phone and Navigation (pins 9 and 10) - are these the audio input or lines for switches to activate these inputs (on RCA)? If they are switch inputs, what do I do to activate - ground? +12V?

    - On/Off - I guess this turns the unit on/off, but how? Ground? +12V? Is it a momentary button input or does the unit stay on as long as this wire is connected to whatever it is supposed to be connected to?

    - sw 1, sw 2 - what are these? Switches? Subwoofer output?

    - Which speaker output is which? They are numbered 1 to 4 instead of the traditional designation FL, FR, RL and RR.

    - "Rear" and "Front" RCA pairs are inputs or outputs?

These are switch inputs, use +12v to activate. Attention: this is a software function, so your software needs to switch inputs if it receives the switch signal from the switch input.

This wire needs to be connected to +12v while the unit is on. ACC line is a good source.

Not sure about these, I'll ask Alex, but I think they are switch inputs.

Not sure either, another question for Alex when he gets back from holidays in a week or so...

    These are line-level outputs.

We will look into the documentation and clarify it, as you are 100% right!

Thanks for the info, that should be sufficient for now. We switch the inputs using software already.

Just one more question - when turned on, does the eA return to the previous settings, including the volume and input source?

As far as I know, it should. The settings aren't sent to the PC though, so the app should keep track of the settings too...

    Hello Jirka,

This PDF explains it all. Just the FL,FR,RL and RR needs to be sorted out.
