I have a m10000, and I have never liked the onboard video, do to the fact it was always laggy when watching video and or visualzations. So I upgraded the PC to a Nvidia FX 5200. It did work faster, but still had some lag, which Im hoping to correct by buying a PCI Riser made for highbandwith devices.
Should I maybe reconsider using the FX 5200 and simpy install a 32mb card vs the FX 5200 128mb card. I like the FX 5200 because it has dual out, one for VGA and the other is S-video. my new idea was to use the m10000 onboard video for the main screen, the one that will control everything, video will never play on that screen. Then on the 32-bit card have a VGA to RCA adapter and that would connect to the other 3 displays for video and visualzations?
Im bringing this up, because Im worried that the 128mb FX card, even after I recieve the PCI riser madefor high bandwith, still will not run as it should, still leaving me with slight lag.......
Also what are you guys running in your systems.... Anyone with a similar setup?
PS: just for your info, the other device on the PCI card riser is a 5 port USB 2.0 card.
