ok so im having some issues with my mobo ... Ive got an aopen i945gt-VFA mobo with an intel t5600 core 2 duo processor and some 2 gb's of g-skill ddrII pc2-5300 memory, the problem is when I plug in the mobo with the ac adapter that came with the product nothing happens except for one small red light turning on ... what does this mean?? what can i do??

check the connections for everything (power, data, keyboard, mouse, RAM, sound or vid cards)

    read the manual (really)

    only then make changes.

ive read the manual a few times now, but now im finding some people who have had a problem with this board not recognizing the processor until the bios is upgraded ... does that mean im going to have to buy another processor just to upgrade the bios??

Possibly, although I would just send it back to the manufacturer and make them do it...

im no expert on carputers but It sounds like you have a power switch jumper either open or you dont have a switch to turn on the motherboard... if you get a red light or a costant light on the mother board it may just be waiting to be powered on.. the constant light just means it has power to the motherboard but to power it and boot it you need some sort of switch...if you dont have one take a look at your desktop pc and follow the lead ( the wires with a connector) that says pw switch or power switch or power button something to that matter and take that connector and plug it into your motherboard on your car pc or aopen motherboard theres a spot on the motherboard on it if you look closely...try starting the car pc by pluging in all the power cables correctly and turning it on with the power button from your other computer.....thats all i can think of...it worked for me

    what's the power supply?
you need to connect the ignition from the car to the power supply.

its the ac power adapter that came with my aopen i945gtt-VFA

so when i plug it in a red light on my mobo lights up ... its right next to the print on the motherboard that says boot ... does that mean it should be green and my mobo is bad??

    Thanks
