My carputer powers off by itself :(

OK after a few second of playing the carpuer sops by itself and the power suplie makes a buzzing sound. What do you think is wrong ?
It's like their would be a power fallure and the psu would just die!

The problem is the inverter. It is either going into overload, or supplying very dirty power to the PS. Are there any indications that the inverter has shut down?

Or it could just be a bad PS. Have you tried swapping?

In agreement, my carputer does this when the cigarette lighter conntection is loose. It has an alarm signal that goes off and then the computer shuts down.

When I get some time, I need to hard wire the power line and put a switch in there.

That would indicate a bad power supply.
