what type of inputs do you want to switch? (VGA, S-video, composite, etc)?
what brand/model monitor do you want to use it on?
Hey I'm wondering if anyone has any experience switching two inputs on a video screen with a switch.
For instance flipping the switch one way displays input 1, and flipping it the other way displays input 2. How could I hook up a simple toggle switch instead of an a/v input selector box? thanks for any replies!

I am undecided but probably composite video. The screen type is undecided but I speculate it will have only one composite input.
if you're going to build a carPC, then you'll want a VGA monitor (regular video monitors look like crap for computer use). most VGA monitors have multiple inputs.
I use a Lilliput EBY701. it has 1 VGA input and 2 composite inputs, with a button on the front panel to switch inputs.
Thanks but this will not be for a car PC. I do not need VGA for my purposes, composite will do fine.
I guess I'll fabricate/modify something. Thanks for the reply!
Don't buy a lilliput

You will probably spend AT LEAST 2x what you initially budget for your CarPC Project!

This looks like it'll do what you want, with a remote control even.
