    Gameboy Advanced controling winamp

Anyone hear of peeps doing something like this? I just stumbled across some web sites that have made cables to download home-brewed games into their GBA's.

Looks like they have a lot of good programers on the projects. I'm too dumb to do it myself!

I think it would be a kick *** project to get one of these things to control winamp. NE one else think this is a good idea? Have the computer in the trunk, GBA up front to control it and have visualizations/navigation on the GBA display!

    Actualy!

I have a Gateway internet appliance that would be friggin cool..... Its a full machine with a touchscreen and vga lcd.... Unfortunatly, it is a crusoe(?) chip that runs about 600mhz thats too slow for windows on it. I'm trying to get a small (sandisk) distro of redhat on the thing that uses the touchscreen.

heres a pic (yes the stand comes off) and its prolly only 2 inches thick...

you can hack em to put a HD in it and I know there is a fella that sells them on ebay for 75 bucks or so.

Anyhow, I think it would be cool to have the gameboy for the screen/controls of winamp.

Last time i checked 600mhz could run windows. I would forgo the GBA since the display is very dim, yeah it's colour but VERY dim. Yes there are places that sell a backlight hack for about $49 U.S but still i think why bother just get a colour Palm or use that internet appliance thing.

    GBA and Gateway

    Well this guy sells em:

    Here is a forum:

    (Gateway/AOL Connected Touch Pad)

and yes, 600mhz WILL run widows but this is a crusoe(?) chip.... That means its a risc emulating a cisc but I wont go into that just that this machine is better off with linux. Another thing is that I have a convertable mustang and dont want someone stealing my shyt. As it is, I'm going to hack the origional head unit and keep it in there so everything looks stock. The last thing I need is a BIG *** screen sittting in there saying 'rip me off please'. The GBA would be in ideal controller for winamp in my situation. Cheap and easy to get but guess nobody else is interested in it?
