    Question X10 Mouse Remote

Anyone have any luck getting the X10 software for the mouse remote to work with Windows XP? I cannot get it to work .

Are there any other software packages that support the X10 that will run on XP?

    Thanks in advance!

i could never get it to go with win2k, so i'm pretty sure xp is out. unless you are using it with a specific plugin (something like max10 i think), you are pretty much stuck with win98 for general pc control.

Yep, http://max10.sourceforge.net/ for Max10, which in my opinion is the best option for making your mouseremote useful.

As far as I know the company won’t support anything beyond Win 98 (rev B). Unfortunately, it means no support for Win 2000 or Win XP. I wanted to get one at EBay for $10, but I changed my mind after realizing that I won’t be able to get any support from X10 folks, since I am running Win XP.

I got one of these a few years ago (4 or 5 i think), before win2k was out. When i switched to 2k, i found that max10 page, and have been using the mouse software from that page successfully since then. I actually think it is better than the software that comes with it.
