    Installing XP .. requires sata driver

    Hello

    I just recieved my stage 3 carpc from this webstore.
    It's include a 120gb sata drive.

    When I want to install Windows XP, during the installation the message appears that he can't find a hard drive.

    I think I need a driver,
    but the guys of mp3car.com doesn't attached a driver for this harddisk in the box :s

    What now?

    In the bios I can't see neither the disk..

    And a second question for the guys who assembled this carpc.
    Must the 2 rearfans of the voom2 case be attached to the power?
    The 2 fans aren't connected to something???????????????????????????????

    The driver isn't for the hard drisk, but for the SATA controller.

    I agree that the driver should have been included with the motherboard. It should also be readily available on the website of the motherboard manufacturer.
    Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

    Hey Guys,
    For the record, you should still be able to see the drive in the bios - it sounds either the drive is not connected properly, or it's faulty.

    @ Greenbeauty: You do realize the drive may have died during shipping? In my expereince, one receives much better support if not acting like a moron

    is your version of XP up to date as in SP2 and such.
    I've seen that some people have better luck with Pro instead of Home.

    Also.
    try google when you run into these kind of problems.

    ex. "installing xp on sata drive can't find drivers"
