i was looking at that tripple splitter matrox... cool but this board already has dual output with the vga/dvi jacks... you could just add a second card and that would make 3

I think this thing is abit diffrent..... instead of showing a movie on one of the screens, it expands the movie to show on all 3.

Yea, my case was from Morex, and I gutted mine to, And I still have space issue, and the case is rather big. Problem is the OPUS 320 is so big, it takes up almost 50%, its close to the size of the MoBo.... My space is so limited, I cant use IDE, i have to use sata because the cables are thinner and take up less space.

For the present project I need to be able to have 3 screens fed via DVI. The base requirement for the Matrox to do this is if the DVI port is a Dual-Link DVI port. There are other chipset and miscellaneous requirements, but that is the base one. So if that board passes the Matrox compatibility test, it will be able to drive 3 screens wide from that single DVI port at the resolutions we need.
I understand what you are saying about adding another card, but for our particular purposes it would be ideal to have everything already on board. Also to get a good card with two DVI ports I will need an MB with a PCI express slot, and then I have one more item added to the complication of packaging the whole thing. My present "fallback" solution is to go with a mini-itx w/ pci-express + riser + one of the many supported pci-express cards by the Matrox device (likely nVidia). However I am considering it an extreme fallback to go that route (only because of this specific project, not because there is anything wrong with that method/idea).

Thanks again to everyone involved in this thread. I am learning a lot of tidbits which could only be gained with experience with the board. I would love to see photos of anyone's fab work for their cases as well, as long as it doesn't require too much work for you to post them.

    Cheers,

Well I received my 3.5 to 2.5 converter and its larger then I thought. But I still have alot more room. I also received both IDE drive to SATA, and one worked perfect, the other was DOA, so now I am waiting on the replacement. I was amazed at how fast the PC booted, it literally flies through the boot screen about 1 second and starts to load windows... I couldnt fully get to Windows because my install is corrupted.... but I am very very happy so far....

When putting together my CARPC I wanted an EQS AMD Mini-ITX board. It would have cost around £120 from the UK but it would kick *** as it has pretty decent graphics onboard!

Since it was my first CarPC, I went with a Via 1.5Ghz C7 mini ITX and if I like the car pc concept, I will upgrade to the AMD Intel suck because the graphics are Intel extreme and the little valley board is crap....pure and simple!

I hate to repeat my question but I really want to place an order Monday (tomorrow) and would like to do so knowing whether or not this board (KINO 690S1) can drive the Matrox TripleHead2GO DigitalEdition with all three monitors at a minimum of 1280x1024 per monitor.

If you are currently running this board and have windows installed, and can spare 2-3 minutes to help me out on my quest, Matrox has a tool located here which will say whether or not the board can handle the Matrox device. A screenshot of the results would be best but I will take anything!

My original post on the subject, which contains more details, can be found here.

I would do it for you, but I still dont have my system setup. I am missing one component (IDE to SATA converter) which is keeping me from installing. Without this piece I cannot install my HDD. I ordered it 3 weeks ago from China, so I am hoping it comes some time soon.
