Powering off the PSU would be better because they would be at regulated 12V.
I have had to power mine from the PSU because they are 5V.
I am in the design phase of the cabling layout, and had a few questions. My setup uses alot of USB components and most of them run off of two 7 port USB hubs, powered by DC-DC adapters. My question is where should I power the hubs? I can connect them through the PSU, but would it hurt to have them connected through the ACC 12v+ line? Basically when I switch the key to on, the hubs power up right away. Im sure this will not bother the system during power up, but will it bother the system on power down, since the USB devices will shut off right away when I turn the key off? So in short, will I have power up, hibernation and power down issues with trying the above setup?
