    Geez

I also mentioned button clutter, and I don't think I paid $300 for SD. But thanks for playing along. And should I look up the word "Stock" for you? Might help you play the game at home. The really funny part here.......Azentek "gets it".
Aah, thanks for clearing that up for me... so it's the position of a logo that determines whether something is advertising or not.

Best of luck to you man.

No, it determines if I, the consumer, buy the product or let peer pressure drive me to buy something I don't like. If I don't like it I don't like it. Atacking me and using "flaws" in my arguement isn't going to make me like it more. It's only going to make me like YOU less. Get it?

Is anyone out there messing with one of these? That computer uses it, seems REALLY impressive, and it's a good price. Did a search for hybrid ready drive here in the forum, but nothing popped up. Surely SOMEONE has tried it.

Just bought one......I might as well be the tester on it.
    My opinion is my own.

It's using Centrafuse, they just created their own screen. You can easily change the logo in the middle of CF to what ever you wish.

These units must have not be selling for the high as price since now they have dropped their price tremendously. The only issue that I see with these systems is that if new plugins are made and come out, you will have to find someone to made the plugin with the skin you're using. And since the skin is there own, I don't think that they will make it at your request

Again, this is going more towards having them do the job but takes control out of your hands. Having control over your own system is what CarPCs is all about.

They have slingbox plugin. What more do they need?

I really like the 'simple' design they are using. Reminds me of the RR carwings skin. Really well done. I would buy CF in a heartbeat if their "stock" skin looked like that.

edit: Before more people decide to point out my "ignorance", let me give you a clue here.......

The ONLY skin you can ever trust is the one made by the creators. I don't care how much time or dedication is used, add-in skins will almost ALWAYS fail to do something the original creator intented. And THAT is why I don't give a rat's rear end HOW easy anything is to change. I want the STOCK item to be what I want. And SD is the CLOSEST to what I am looking for. Is it perfect? Nope, not at all. But it's a hell of a lot closer than CF.
    My opinion is my own.

Sorry I didn't post a link to it, I receive Crutchfield as a monthly mag, they state they it's in stock mid July. I like the clean look of the Azentek. Here's a link from their own website. http://www.azentekonline.com/cms/content/view/41/146/

Ive been begging too.......... but it seems to be going to deaf ears...... not even David will comment on it.

Anything with StreetDeck on it is cr@p. They havent updated in god knows how long, they have basically abandoned all their customers.

    lol....Nothing to reconsider....

    1) Very prefessional and OEM looking.

    2) No third party logos or "button clutter"

    3) Not paying $300 so that some company can advertise their logo across the center of my screen.

Remember what my gripes are about "stock" CF. I would purchase that setup.

They don't mention CF, but they really only claim the design "Azentek custom-designed HMI" and the media player does look vaguely familiar.

One other major plus on that system......they have noise cancel AND echo cancel built in.
CF sells to alot of diffrent companies now, and I guess since they most likely pay a high volume price, they have the CF logos removed and their own logos put in. Remember most FEs are skinable, so you can easily change them around. Im actually working on a CF skin based on the NAMCO Ridge Racer game (thats were HiJack comes from).

    Ok, this makes no sense......
How could a third party (Azentek) get and design a plugin that the software designers don't have and won't even comment on??? Are we SURE that's CF they're running?? Has anyone seen that in print somewhere?
    My opinion is my own.

Ok, now I am beginning to get the idea why people think it is CF. In the video, when the software exits, the shortcut is CF. Ah......so there couldn't be a bit of "misdirection" there to keep people from trying to hack their software? I mean, if I wanted to, I could use the CF logo to start Streetdeck.

Personally, I couldn't see them showing off such a great system, using their own fantastic looking software, and then leave the logo as CF, even if it IS Centrafuse. lol

If you are going to go to all the trouble to make that skin, why wouldn't you "trademark" it with a personalized icon?
    My opinion is my own.
