Not to be arguementative, but all that tells me is they had a hand in the developement. It could be Centrafuse with a REALLY GOOD skin, or they might have sold the rights to their weather plug-in and then helped them code it in.

"We work with asentek" is far from confirmation that they are running Centrafuse(tm). Don't get me wrong, it very well could be, but I rarely see secondary software look better than the primary. And yes, NDA's would keep CF from confirming. My feeling is that certain aspects of Flux Media software is built into a completely unique front end.

Bottom line is, if it is CF, I really hope they come out with something that looks like that.
    My opinion is my own.

I hate to break it to all you folks, but in the latest video posted by Azentek on Youtube, Sema 2007, they were using Streetdeck (see below). It was posted 6 months ago. 8 months ago, another video was posted and it uses Centrafuse (see below too), but if you look at their website, they are using something completely different (finally below).

Like I said. Misdirection. They want you to see how well the computer performs, not give away their software design. I've been around prototypes long enough to know how the game is played. Give them just enough.....and the players? Give them enough to hang themselves with.

Sorry to tell you this, but they ain't using Centrafuse or Streetdeck. As for Centrafuse saying they "work with Azentek", it's called jumping on the bandwagon and claiming to be a part of something bigger. They sold them a license and setup their background for advertising. That's about it.

very interesting, only time will tell. The two bottom pictures on post #22 look quite different, are they supposed to be the same piece of software.

Dude, do you not get the picture that the FrontEnd is completely skinable? They could have just made a new skin. The actual pics look similar as to how the buttons are positioned. That company has confirmed before that they have been using CF but have not yet decided on what FrontEnd to go with.

One is from their home page, the second is from the computer page. I would say they are just 2 different skins of whatever their front end is.

Of course any front end is skinable. But the current software shown on their website is nothing even similar to CF or SD. So to say it is definitely CF (because they said they worked with azentek) is not confirmation in my book. Might be, but I seriously doubt it. What it does say is at some point, Azentek used CF, and the video from 8 months ago confirms that to be true. Sure if you said the same thing here (when the boys were still hanging around), they would also say "We work with Azentek").

I think they did what I would do.....

Design a computer to do everything you want it to do, make it into a unique package, use whatever software is out there for proof of concept (also to confirm you didn't forget anything), but "hide" the actual software for the "Wow" factor later. Why would you design a superior product, price it above the market, and then make it "look" like every other car computer out there by using a common front end.
    My opinion is my own.

You must be blind not to see that they look the damm same. Just different buttons. Why don't u just call them and verify if you're stuck on all this? Dumb.

It helps if you actually qoute something when responding. Otherwise, you might come out just looking like a whiney little r-tard since no one knows who or WHAT you are responding to.

What looks the same? The 2 last pictures? Of course they do. They are both azentek. The clue would be that both pictures are taken INSIDE an azentek screen.

I have to ask......why would you be subscribed to this thread if you are so "bothered" by me asking for proof that the software is Centrafuse. Looks to me it could just as easily be SD since the newest video madee by Azentek is using SD (Also skinable, duh). You CAN unsubscribe you know.

It could just be that the company hasnt made up its mind and is jumping around. In the end, they will go with CF since Street Cr@p is basically dead and offers no support or upgrades.

PS, now that CF has all the features +++++++ that SD has, including gestures, why even consider SD?

HHMMMM lets see, SD, which has no support, alot of stuff doesnt work, is just plain cr@ppy......

    OR

CF, which has a owner that actually cares about what people want, has tons of support, just about every feature is useful, and its so easy to use.
