is your usb port on your pc 2.0 as well?
I have 2-7 port USB 2.0 hubs on their own power. However, when I plug in a device I constantly get the message that this device can perform better in USB 2.0 hub, blah, blah,BS
I have 2 extensions running from th trunk, one for each hub. Each hub also has a step down controller dropping 12v to 5v. The 12v is a separate circuit on a fuse block and is ignition controlled.
Any thoughts from those more experienced?
Thanks.

Just double checked the owners manual, all ports are 2.0
Did you check your bios? usually you have the option of enabling 1.0, 1.1, 1.1+2.0, 2.0 only, etc. Check if 1.1+2.0 is selected.
I've heard that if you plug old, "unfriendly" USB 1.0/1.1 devices into a hub, that then all 2.0 devices in that hub will automatically sync with the slower device. Some hubs avoid that, some don't. I would plug both hubs first, the problem device you get the warning from, and go from there.
