Please post in this thread if you guys download a new bios in the future or find other work arounds for the slow bios posting.

Also, does anyone know about 1 to 2 pci risers? Some websites mentioned that they could be used with this mobo, but I can't seem to find much info. I have the space, and would very much like to be able to use 2 pci cards.

My main reason for switching was the additional backplane usb (the morex 5677 doesn't offer much space for a front-x usb addition) and the temperature difference thus far is huge. So far I am very content.
How quick is your post to the windows logo, did you make chnges to the bios?
Anyone triede the mobo with a mobi 3000 ssd?

I tried it with dual PCI risers yesterday (1 video and 1 sound card) and the board would not post. The Jetway J7F2 series boards posted with the same 2 PCI cards/riser

The latest BIOS can be downloaded here:

Is that a newer bios than it was shipped with? Have you tried it and noticed any improvements?

This is the same bios that the mobo shipped with unfortunately.

The bios post time is my only real complaint right now (other than it only having 1 pci slow, but thats to be expected with mini-itx)

What cases are people using with this board/chip? I installed xp with nlite last night (by far the smoothest an xp install has EVER gone for me) and everything seems to be working, but I'm still in tabletop mode. I've heard some concern over the height of the HSF, and I can't tell if the voompc case allows enough room for the fan, as well as enough space to actually move air around it. I guess the bigger m300 is a safe fallback?

aside: I've turned off everything in the bios that i'm not using, and still seeing the sizable delay in booting. Removing the lan boot rom helped some though.

I am using it with a morex 5677. I had to cut one tab off of the heatsink for the northbridge so that the 2.5"hdd mount supplied by mp3car.com would fit correctly. Nothing a pair of pliers couldnt fix

I think Im actually ok with most of that. I use a separate battery in the trunk that runs the PC and lets me use S3 standby without worry of losing power. So the USB bus staying on, the 5w standby and the boot/post time really wouldn't affect me much.

An extra com port would be nice for future expansion (just in case) and the VGA noise concerns me a little. I've already got the board though so I will see how it works out.

As I said in the other thread, Im replacing the VB7001 in the car with the DCG945GCLF and using the VB7001 for a cheap HTPC. Right now Im waiting for the other parts to arrive before I change out the board. I ordered 667/2G RAM, & SATA300 HD (current setup is 400/1G RAM & SATA150)

It will probably be next weekend before it all gets here and I have a chance to do the swap though. I will let you guys know how it works out.
