You guys dont have to thank me Ces, if you need more for going full active, you could always use the standard Bloat for your sub, midbass or even center channels. Sound quality is still amazing and even at retail it is a steal for what it is. Food for thought

So is this over for good? Or is there an opportunity to still participate? I skimmed through most of the pages, but let me ask, are there any issues resuming from standby?

    Thanks.

Yes, it is over but fortunately you can still purchase direct through Hippohifi.com. The standard Bloat (which still has amazing sound quality and all the same physical features) is still a bargain @ $199..

Hibernation and standby are no problem for the Bloat

    Thanks.

One last Q: I have the HT Omega Striker sound card at the moment and the output is pretty good but the inputs are noisy (line-in and cd-in both have interference). This device will not help to eliminate that in any way, will it?

Is there a matching ADC that anyone knows of similar quality to take in and mix analog and digital inputs (my XMDirect outputs coaxial SPDIF!)? If it's independent of the PC, that's even better.

Ouch, found this thread a couple weeks too late.

I'll be looking to buy on the site directly though.

    Thanks for all the details.

I am trying to figure out if I need to buy more than one of these Bloats.

I have two amps, one amp has 4 channels for my comp set (FL and FR) and the other amp is just for my sub ( 6 channels totall).

Do I just need one bloat and some kind of Equalizer?

Also, how CPU intensive are these compared to a USB sound card (I am running a little weak Via M10000).

    Thanks!

How can they be any more cpu intensive than the onboard sound?

You should be fine on an m1000 as far as I know those little buggers actually do pretty well, but yes USB DAC's use some resources of the cpu- probably not much more than the software bloated soundcards out there today.
