    stickiness....

Well, i was debating on which forum to put this in, but since it may apply to more than just lcd's i picked here!

In your experience, how well does the sticky side of mounts (ie. mount that comes with a 5.6" display that I am going to mount on my passenger air bag) stay in the various weather conditions. In the summer will it get so warm that it will not stick? Suggestions?!

I myself found that velcro worked better. It's more forgiving with surfaces that aren't completely flat.

There is some really high stregnth double sided foam tape you can get at Radio Shack.

I would recommend a hobby, craft, or material store and get some long strips of velcro.

In either case, be sure to clean the dash very well from any residue's¿. Things like armor-all and such keep it from sticking.

Just my thoughts, so don't shoot me...

If you care about your passenger disconnect the airbag before you mount anything on it, if it goes off they will be the first person to recieve a 5.6" display implant
If you come out talking sh1t don't try to turn around and wipe you azz.

you can do it by yourself, but you definately need to disconnect the battery and wait for any capacitors to discharge. Buy a haynes manual with a fraction of the money you'd pay for someone else to do it.
