    Touchscreen causing bios to stall?

So I am running an Artigo Pico-ITX kit for my CarPC. My problem is that when the computer starts up, it stalls (for about 30-60sec) at the "IRQ Device Listing" page during the bios boot, right before windows starts up.

I know the stalling is related to the touchscreen (Lilliput EBY701), because when it only stalls when it is plugged in. If I disconnect it, the computer will boot immediately, like it should. If I disable USB from initializing at all, the computer will start immediately, but then I have no USB devices.

Anybody have any clue as to what is causing the stalling and how to eliminate it?

    Few things:

Is your sreen running on regulated or unregulated power and is it grounded properly?

    Try a different USB port.

Find out what IRQ number is hanging and move it to a different number. This is more advanced and you will want to be sure of what you are do.

If you disable IRQ, nothing will work in Windows.

I don't plan on disabling IRQ.

The screen is running on unregulated power. Yes, it is grounded properly.

I will try another USB port when I get a chance.

Also might want to try a usb hub. It might just be a partial incompatibilty. Seen similar things with a Dell server that would lockup on POST if I had an external HDD hooked to the machine. Putting a hub in between the two fixed it.
