They sell different parts for carpc systems, the part they focus on the most i believe is the software, which is the Cobra software, and it has a section on this forum for it. There are some people who like it, some who dont, just go read up in the Cobra group.

As for all the hardware they sell, the remote they sell is alright, the rest you can get anywhere.

i dont know how cheap their prices are or not, i cant see them being much better then regular computer places though.

They mostly sell kits, which you need to put together/ add your own parts to to make them complete working systems.

Hmm....This brings up some neat stuff. I had not been following carplayer.com for awhile but I see now they are making some progress, including what looks like their own GPS app and remote to go with the software. I think the remote is probably the best idea for a car, perhaps even better than a touchscreen in that you don't need to reserve LCD real-estate for 'gps, music, movies' buttons when you can simply program a remote to switch to them upon pressing a button.

One of the most accessed items, the volume, is all the way at the bottom of the remote and difficult to reach with a thumb. The position of the volume/channel buttons and the directional buttons should be swapped in my opinion.

I like the idea on the mp3 playing screen that says if you press up or down the visualization returns to the playlist screen.
