    FM Radio solution?

    Hi guys,

I've tried searching the forum for weeks and have tried on the IRC channel but to no avail.
I have a VoomPC and a 7" touchscreen DIN in place. One of the chinese jobs.
I really want FM radio in the car and would like to use the car's own antenna.

What can I do to get this working?

Check out this thread. It works great for me and a lot of other people too!

Edit - Whoops doubledup the http:// part. Fixed now.

P.S. the original link in the first page of that thread is dead but you can order the brando version as linked towards the end of that thread.
I installed my carpc into my pet Kangaroo, mate.

Link doesn't work mate. Just gives the page not found error. Had a mate on msn try it as well.

It works for me...look on page 27 of the thread, post #391 and click on Brando USB Radio.
    Thanks,

Found it using the search, thanks mate.
Is the reception quality nice without the car's own antenna?

    Thumbs up

Or check out this thread and/or this thread for HD Radio. The Visteon units use the car's antenna, the sound quality is great, and it's pretty cheap!

You do actually use the cars antenna. You desolder the antenna that comes with it, solder on some coax and then solder the coax to a motorola connector that your aerial plugs into.

    Pretty? Not quite.
    Effective? Definately
