There are programs around that will virtually "unplug" your device before hibernation, and "replug" when you resume so it doesnt lock up.
After coming out of hibernation my GPS will stall causing it to not be seen by the GPS software, or even the PC for that matter. I have to restart the computer to get it to be seen and work. I tried simply unplugging it then plugging it back in, but not even that works. What could be wrong. My GPS is a Haicom BT407. It is made for bluetooth, but since the bluetooth stack CF uses cant do nothing but phone, I bought a USB cable for it. Its a Serial to USB cable, or at least thats what it says when it installs.
Anyone have any idea on what I can do to fix it?

It didn't quite do it 100% for me. Most of the time, when I come out of hibernation, all my devices (WiFi, GPS and external DVD drive) are recognized and working properly. There seems to be occasions when this doesn't work and one of the 3 items will not show up in the device manager. Even so, restarting the computer fixes it. I wish I could get it to work perfectly, but it is better than before.
Oh wow... i dont need it for all my devices..... only the GPS (thankfully), so hopefully this will work...

OK, It doesnt work at all with the Hibernate Trigger. In order to enable the GPS I have to sit there and click enable.exe over and over. I think im just going to replace the unit. I dont have time to play around like this. What USB GPS Mouse do you all recommend where you dont have this issue?

I used the GPS receiver from mo-co-so.com. I can't say I've had this problem with mine. I also set up devcon to enable/disable it the same day I installed it. I went straight to doing this because of the issues with the DVD drive and the WiFi stick I had in the past.
Sorry that it didn't work out for you.
Its cool, I dont mind replacing the GPS reciever I have. I went browsing through here and MP3Car and all reccomend the BU-353... its only 40.00 and doesnt seem to suffer with the hibernation issues.
