    Are you talking about the converter on the back of the rom for $20? Where on bizrate.com did you find it?

    But yes $20.00 + 5 or so sfor shipping and my notebook dvd-rom works perfectly.
    and someone asked, there is no master-slave-cable select option.
    Mine needs to be updated.

    Thanks for the info, but I thought you found an adapter for the imac sloat load dvd drive. You know that you can get the same adapter from cableclub.com for 8.50 + shipping?

    ADAPTER FOR SLIM TRAY ARE DIFFERENT THAN THE ADAPTER FOR SLIM SLOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    On the slot in the JAE connector is turn by 180° => a std adapter will stick out....

    adapter for the tray model => 9$ @ CABLE CLUB...
    adapter for slot in model => 29$ @ allmac....


    Hope this question will not come another million time....
    Epia M9000, lili 7" vga&touch & 2xTM-7002S compo, camera with reversed image, 2.5" 60 GB, 256Mb DDR, Opus 90W, GPS usb... AND MEDIACRUISER of course!

    that is why I was clarrifying.

    As you only see the back of the DVD/CD, with the Adaptor in place, and it doesn't actually say which it is for Imac/Laptop, tray/Slot. I thought I might save someone some money buying the wrong thing.

    Stupid as it sounds, I haven't seen them available in the UK. So I like many others would have to order from the US, for a $20 item, postage coould be near the same price again.

    So that would be $40 wasted.

    OK, this German site Lists a lot of Lappy DVDs and which ones work with their connectors.

    Not saying it answers everything, but it gives information about This adaptor.

    I have very little german, but got the jist of it. Google if you need it more accurate.

    Everybody has seen the Baber

    A UK source of some UK parts. Not necessarily cheap. but hey have stock.

    This one is British but I can't tell from the picture whether it is the same as the Baber one or the iMac one?

    You'll find slim slot in dvd & correct adapter

    Just posting some links, in the one place for the different adaptorsd that I've found. Wasn't necessarily a question.

    The german site has a link that points to exact models that their adaptor fits. Which I thought might be useful.

    I already contacted esscable logtime ago if the have an adaptor for the slot-in

    They answer NO!

    On their site it's not really clear because this model is on their list...
