Hello, I bought a car gps tracking device which I do not know where to connect the ACC + and - cables(wires 2and3) from the tracker, somebody how knows?
My car is a toyota corolla 2003, the tracker is this :http://www.ipopman.com/shtml/546/200807244089.shtml

Ok, but in cigarette lighter I intend to connect cables 4&5(12v), can I connect ALSO cables 2&3(ACC) to the cigarette lighter?
IF your cigarette lighter is only functional with the key on, then wire up 2 & 3.
If your cigarette lighter works all the time regardless of key position, then wire up 4 & 5.
The cigarette-lighter is either controlled by the ignition or it isn't. That's the difference between 12v & ACC. 12v is always hot (as in straight from the battery) and ACC is "accessory", meaning it is controlled by the ignition key.
Well, just tested my lighter and when I turn the key to ACC position my radio turn on and also the lighter power on, when no key in the ignition, no radio, no cigarette lighter...
SO, ACC goes to lighter, the 12v goes too? if this is, then I`ll have no battery(tracker li-ion bat) if the car stays 2 or more days(tracker`s battery lasts 40hours) in the parking.
To have current power from the battery(continuously charge of the tracker) to the tracker, where can I found that cable(12v+)? (I dont want to cable it direct from the battery)
Your deductive skills are positively amazing.
12v should go to a constant 12v source.SO, ACC goes to lighter, the 12v goes too? if this is, then I`ll have no battery(tracker li-ion bat) if the car stays 2 or more days(tracker`s battery lasts 40hours) in the parking.
I suggest finding a wiring diagram for your vehicle to find a suitable 12v source.
If worse comes to worse, you can run 12v back to the vehicle battery.
See above. To have current power from the battery(continuously charge of the tracker) to the tracker, where can I found that cable(12v+)? (I dont want to cable it direct from the battery)
Do you think I need a dog-tracker instead of a gps?![]()
Well I fund this:
Its a white wire, do I have to unscrew the steering wheel cover?
You can find this wire under the dash. You may need to take the panel under the steering wheel off.
