    EDIT: Any chance of a comparison on the power consumption please?

    not till my psu arrives in THREE weeks ...

    local supplier just ordered new stock and its on the slow boat from china.. literally, so im running it on the bench with a normal psu

    POST is much faster tho

    win XP thinks its a 4 core processor because its hyperthreading dual core

    LOL you have the board but no PSU...... we can get the PSU but no boards.

    I assume you are using XP 32 bit?

    yeah both machines exact same install and version of xp pro sp2, 32 bit
    atom has a sata, little valley has an ide
    both drives are new 8MB cache seagate's just different connector

    the atom is SATA 2 as well.

    That's strange the product code is right but the spec puts it as the single core Atom not the dual core. I shall ring them on Monday and clear that up, if it is the right one I'll be having it!!
